I really resonate with your exploration in this writing and there are planty stories and anectdotes I remember vividly.

I'm currently reading a book called "Radical Transformation" (German language) which explores the importance of feelings. It underlines your words too. I see many connections between Braiding Sweetgrass, Radical Transformation as well as Outgrowing Modernity. They all have in common the "embodied way of knowledge" which is not a homogenious knowing, instead, a mess which we can choose to be with.

In the relationship with my wife, we worked a lot "being in the mess" with each other and had some transformational experiences - often it was quite a painful path. Over time we gained more freedom, "unpacking" ourselves for each other.

I like to say: Let's have a bath in the discomfort and get comfortable with the discomfort. Our feelings have a lot to do with it. The "Bus Metaphor" (https://decolonialfutures.net/portfolio/the-bus/) can be quite helpful.
